Betty wrote the book called "The Feminine Mytique". She broke new ground by writing about how women can find fufilment in their lives by practicing untraditional roles. She was also a cofounder of the Naional Organization for Women in 1966. In 1942, she graduated from Smith college and got a bachelor degeee in phycology. When she was on to have her second child she lost her job and wandered if other women felt the same way about being homemakers. She completed a survey at the Smith College and then decided to wrtie her book. When the book was published,it created a new idea for women and what the were capable of. When he coufounded The National Organization for Women, she pushed for women to have greater political power in politics.
